تجدون تحته برقية تعزية ومواساة التي تفضل بها الكاتب العام لجمعية العلماء المسلمين بجنوب إفريقيا السيد إبراهيم بام لتقديم خالص العزاء بإسم مسلمي جنوب إفريقي إلى صاحب الجلالة حفظه الله، على إثر الزلزال العنيف الذي ضرب عدة مناطق بالمملكة المغربية.
المسلمون في جنوب إفريقيا أقلية، لكن حضورهم قوي، سواءا في مؤسسات الدولة الجنوب إفريقية أو اقتصادها. الأغلبية الساحقة منهم ينتمون لجمعية العلماء المسلمين التي تأسست سنة 1923 من أجل تقديم الخدمات والاحتياجات الدينية لمسلمي جنوب إفريقيا.

Message of Condolence and Goodwill | Morocco Earthquake Disaster
The Jamiatul Ulama South joins Your Majesty and the brotherly people of Morocco in this period
of mourning the loss of thousands of lives, following a series of earthquakes that have hit the
country.
Our hearts go out to families and individuals that have suffered loss and injury. We pray to Allah
to comfort them and grant them patience in these moments of great distress and need.
We pray to Allah to forgive the souls of those who have lost their lives and protect those who
remain trapped under collapsed infrastructure, so that they can be rescued and be reunited with
their families.
As Muslims from these shores, we feel the pain of the Ummah and stand ready to help in whatever
appropriate ways, in recovery efforts.
May Allah grant Your Majesty good personal health, safety to all survivors and help the nation to
heal from this calamity.

It has been a century since the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa (JUSA) was originally established in 1923 as Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal. As the first Muslim theologians’ body in the country, JUSA’s core purpose is to represent, guide and serve Muslims in their socio-religious affairs. JUSA members serve as imams, teachers as well as perform community and civic leadership roles.
Nearly 170 religious school are under JUSA’s supervision. JUSA’s religious verdicts are sought by a substantial proportion of the Muslim community.
In its advocacy role, JUSA engages various governmental and non-governmental agencies in order to advance Muslim rights and interests. JUSA cofounded the United Ulama Council of South Africa, a national umbrella body of major Muslim theological bodies in the country.
